Biography

Born in Alexandria, Egypt (2nd January 1963).
Graduated from Faculty of Economics & Political Sciences, Cairo University (May 1984).
Joined the Diplomatic Service of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (January 1985).
Served in Egyptian Embassies in London (1987-1991), Santiago de Chile (1992-1996), Berlin (2000-2004) and as Deputy Chief of Mission in New Delhi (2006-2010).
Currently working as Ambassador of Egypt in Montevideo - Uruguay (since September 2012).
